13 January 2024, Gorakhpur JK Organisation, a distinguished multinational conglomerate with a legacy spanning over 138 years, boasting diverse operations, products, and locations worldwide, has once again partnered with Singer India Limited. This collaboration is geared towards the collective well-being of society, as they distribute 1001 sewing machines at no cost to underprivileged women. This philanthropic endeavour is part of their Woman Empowerment Initiative and it took place in the esteemed presence of the Honourable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath. The grand ceremony unfolded at the Baba Gambhirnaath Auditorium in Gorakhpur, marking another significant chapter in their commitment to social welfare.
In this collaborative effort, the primary objective is to empower women, paving the way for self-reliance and a brighter future. The distribution of 1001 Singer unit pack sewing machines by JK Urbanscapes is a tangible manifestation of the commitment to provide these women with the means for self-reliance and creative expression, propelling them towards a future defined by strength and opportunity.
In October 2023, a parallel event transpired in Kanpur, wherein JK Organisation distributed 1001 Singer Sewing Machines free-of-cost, aiming to empower underprivileged women. The initiative garnered appreciation from the Uttar Pradesh government. This time, alongside the distribution of Singer sewing machines, workshops were also organized for women. The training of 1001 beneficiaries occurred in batches from January 3rd to January 9th, 2024.
